Dr.Harvey Nininger was among the first to seriously study meteorites. He wrote several books
and did alot to advance the studies and interest worldwide. He is the most famous person
ever to be involved with meteorites. From 1943 to 1953 he directed the American Meteorite Museum which he founded
near Winslow, Arizona, not far from Meteor Crater.
The collection displayed at the Museum contained over 5000+ meteorites of 525 different types.
The Museum is now in ruins, the fragment below is a piece of the Niningers personal toilet he used at
the Museum.
